Electrified Home explains how to run a UK home on electricity, and lets you try tools that answer questions about your own home.

Who runs it

The site is run by the team that makes KarbonKit, a set of free tools that councils, installers and community energy groups put on their own websites. This site uses those tools the same way they do, which makes it where KarbonKit tests them. Nobody pays to appear here, and it sells nothing.

Accuracy

The pages are general information for UK homes, not advice for yours. They avoid prices and grant amounts because those change often. The tools carry those numbers and keep them up to date: the grant finder is checked against official pages and shows when, and the calculator follows each energy price cap.

Privacy

This site sets no cookies and has no analytics or advertising.

The tools load from widgets.karbonkit.com. What you type into them, such as a postcode, goes to KarbonKit to work out the answer. The tools set no cookies either. If you ask the boiler escape plan to email you a plan, your address is used to send it. KarbonKit's privacy page has the details.
